In 1969, a small group of research scientists lead by Dr J Robert Beyster founded a business in a little village called La Jolla. Who knew what the future held?
Today, the scientists’ business, Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) is the largest employee-owned research and engineering company in the United States and one of the world’s leading providers of outsourcing and IT services.
SAIC, still headquartered in San Diego, and its subsidiaries have more than 44,000 employees with offices in over 150 cities worldwide. The company has just announced second quarter revenues of $2.0 billion. Wow!
