So, San Diego broke the record this morning (Sunday October 17th 2004) with 181 days without rain at about 3am. The last time it rained in San Diego was on April 17th - for official records measurements are taked at the regional airport, Lindberg Field just north of San Diego Downtown.
It rains so little in San Diego County (usually less that 10 inches in an entire year) that it’s big news on the local TV stations with weather persons invariably calling light rain a “storm”!
