Based on the California Association of Realtors report published in March 2005 the California Condo Market is on the climb:
Condo sales have gone up to 20% since 2000 and detached home sales has gone up 32%.
44% of all condominium buyers are single, while only 24% of singles are detached home buyers.
Condos cost less to purchase and 37% of all purchaser were 1st time buyers and since detached homes are more expensive only 26% of them were purchased by first timers.
As second homes 9% of condos & 4% of detached houses for investment or vacation properties were purchased in 2004.
