“Agents” ~ still a vital part of the Real Estate Business?

May 1st, 2006 · No Comments

Out of all the buyer’s who purchased a home over the last three years ~ thirty six percent of them first learned of the home they ended up purchasing from their real estate agent. This is according to a survey released by Prudential CA/NV/TX Realty. Thirty one percent of buyers found their home through an agent’s website online and only five percent found their home using a newspaper.

Even though technology is quickly transforming the real estate industry and buyer’s are turning to the Internet in search of their new home, the agent – client relationship continues to play a key role in most successful real estate transactions.

Agents still play an essential and vital role as a source of information for clients, however these days their role is becoming one more of a consultant. Today’s successful agent must understand the importance of technology and the Web to their clients. They must learn to use technology not only to manage their business but to understand how to relate to today’s progressively savvy client base.

It has been found that the three area that are most important to consumers when searching online are;

Being able to look at property photos (89%)
Being able to search for particular features ~ bed / bath etc… (85%)
Being able to map a property – showing its exact location (77%)

Most buyers enjoy using the Internet for their home search because ~ it saves time. In today’s busy world ~ it’s a great tool! Visit www.sandiego-mls.com to search for a new home in San Diego - our interactive map search is actually second to none!
