Feng Shui offers a method of living life in a harmonious relationship with the earth’s environment and with its energy lines. Its practice can enhance your good fortune in many areas of your life, including you family relationships, your career and your business.
Making a house into a home is an important part of our lives, and when we are successful our houses are places in which we renew ourselves, our family and our friends. As practiced today, Feng Shui gives us advice on how to create environments in which we feel comfortable and supported. Some of these environments are common sense. Others may not make sense until we understand that by recognizing problem areas in our lives and taking positive steps to improve them, we can connect to the energy of the spaces around us and bring about desired change.
Feng Shui tips for speeding up a house sale ~ If you’re having problems, take a red envelope and place it in:
A piece of metal from the kitchen
Some earth from the garden
Some wood from a skirting board
Seal the envelope and throw it into a fast-moving river…… Why not!
Here are a few pointers that may help in your home – all easy to do!
* Front doors should be clean and well maintained. A tub of plants on either side is welcoming but they should not restrict the space or be obstructing.
* House numbers should be visible by day and night and doorbells should be in working order to maintain harmonious relationships with callers.
* The corners of a room are often dark, so it is a good idea to place something colorful there, like a vase of silk flowers for example.
* Open doors allow us access to a room or to the outside world. Doors which squeak, stick, have broken latches, or handles too close to the edge so we scrape our knuckles whenever we open them, should all be repaired or altered.
* Adding an attractive stained –glass hanging in windows can offer some privacy while creating a lively energy in the room.
* Open your curtains so that you can see as much of the outside world as possible.
* Use natural products in your home such as wood, wicker and cotton ~ they look fresh and are inviting.
* Use mirrors as they make a space look much bigger and inviting. Do not position a mirror directly opposite a door or window. Keep them clean, free of broken edges, have frames around them and have them reflect your whole image.
* Buy a wind chime ~ Feng Shui sees wind chimes as an enhancer and it is interesting to note how many people respond differently to the noise they make, and their various tones.
These are only a very few simple things you can do to help positive energy flow into your home. Head to your local library or bookstore and continue learning about Fend Shui. It’s not for everyone………but it’s worth a try!!!!
