Have you recently flown into San Diego? I did last week & even though it had only been 5 months since my last flight I was excited to see all the architectural additions to our city’s skyline.
It’s not difficult to notice the constant growth happening to Downtown San Diego real estate when taking a quick drive along the streets - you will see many face lifts occurring on old buildings and even more new buildings; either completed or under construction.
According to www.downtownsandiego.org there are 7,000 businesses and approximately 75,000 people currently working Downtown San Diego. Would you believe that the city planned well with over 71,000 miles of fiber-optic cable beneath the streets?? This means a company can essentially move in, plug in and start business.
Nearly 4,000 residential units are planned or under construction for the 8 distinctive neighborhoods (click photo for larger map). Although the hustle and bustle of down town life is going strong, some of the residential construction has slowed or stopped completely due to a current over supply. Downtown San Diego builders and sellers are reducing pricing and including more incentives to help relieve them of units and continue on with growth.
