October in San Diego

October 10th, 2007 · No Comments

Is it really the second week in October?? For those of us living in San Diego, you wouldn’t know it by the weather! This is the best time of year for us locals - the tourism traffic has slowed down considerably and the weather is gorgeous, just right for enjoying a day at the la-jolla-october-sunshine.jpgbeach…..

I was down at the shore here in La Jolla enjoying my lunch and taking in the ocean views that we can so often take for granted (see the picture taken today 10/10/07 temperature 68c ).

A family came and sat down on the bench near me. I overheard the wife say to her husband “Do we really have to go home honey?” He laughed and replied, “What you aren’t looking forward to the cold?” They chatted with me and told me they were from Minneapolis, MN and they weren’t looking forward to going home to a high of 48 degrees. They couldn’t believe the weather here in October was so beautiful, they thought it was a fluke… I told them it wasn’t and that we are lucky to enjoy it every October. They joked about how they’d like to move here… I gave them my card and told them to call my team … it doesn’t hurt to look right? They agreed we exchanged info and I sat back and enjoyed this beautiful place that we get to call home …. San Diego.
