The Importance of Disclosures in San Diego

December 20th, 2007 · 2 Comments

The importance of local area disclosures and natural hazard disclosures have become unfortunately for some painfully more evident.

The “just sign and date them” mindset once heard behind closed doors is definitely out. A savvy agent knows the importance of reviewing all disclosures with their clients, word for word making sure that all details are understood.

An even savvier San Diego real agent will order their Natural Hazard Reports from a company that gets their data from local mapping and local jurisdictions. The reason being? The State of

California has not mandated that their records show unstable areas and/or earthquake faults; however, most local mapping data will provide such information.

Home buyers have many options to choose from when choosing a Real Estate Agent to represent them. Some Brokers don’t offer you much more than a few mouse clicks - read the fine print before selecting.

Select an agent that knows the in’s and out’s to the transaction process, and more importantly knows disclosures from front to back! With something as important as a new home purchase don’t be tempted by the lure of rebates. Ask questions about how you will be represented and what the agent will and just as importantly won’t do for you.

National Disclosure Agency offers the most thorough and precise Hazard Disclosure Reports in the industry. There is no charge for reports until the property enters escrow. We are a green company and we plant a tree for every report that is orderred.
